It’s already time to go? After so many years of turmoil and tranquility, struggle and rest, do you really have to go? It felt like this day would never come.
Joshua Lee. We definitely had our moments man. I remember that one month where I texted you so much that your bill came out to be like $200 and we had some kind of bromance going on hahahaha. We would share the darkest of secrets and we’d come together and pray for each other about the things that we found to be the evilest of things. We would struggle the same sins that seemed so taboo to talk about and yet we did anyways! We were so innocent when we were growing up and I’m so thankful for that because if we hadnt been, I would not know where we would have been! You’d share your little girl problems with Misa and Sophiea and I’d sit back and listen. We grew up telling each other about the awesome music we just found and secretly and discreetly downloaded from Limewire, fearing that we’d get caught by the police or get some kind of crazy virus. I honestly don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have you growing up through my middle school and high school years. You were there and helped me when I was in the loneliest of times. You helped me through the struggles of manhood. You helped me become the person that I am today and I am forever grateful.
Sure we had our ups and downs. Spouts of jealousy here and there, periods of hiatuses during the times when we had “significant others”, times where we would be ticked off at each other because of some little incident. Despite all this, when I needed you the most, you always pulled through and I couldn’t and wouldn’t ask for a better friend.
Especially on the praise team! Without you, we would have still been struggling with Solution and Time Has Come. Because of our constant sharing and knowledge of the songs that I chose, even if Jason, Earnie, Joanne, Sammy, or Sophiea didn’t know the songs, we’d still sound good because you knew when to do the dynamics and when to play what at certain parts!
We’ve already become grown men, ready to take on this world, from these little boys that could barely pick up a guitar or drumsticks. We’re ready to embark on this new, independent journey called Life and even though we have grown our separate ways, strangely I have a feeling that God will definitely lead us back together, whether soon or in the future.
As you live life in Atlanta, I hope you find a great church that will get you even closer to God. I know that you will be a great vessel for Christ to those around you whether it be your roommates or your professors. You will be a walking example of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Just always remember that you will always have a home to come to when you get lonely and a friend to talk to when times get hard. Let’s keep each other accountable and we’ll tell each all the little journeys we had at school.
Get there safely. Have a lot of fun in college. Please come back! We’ll jam ;D
I love you, I’ll miss you, and God bless.
Happy Birthday! When you come back, after Earnie’s birthday, we’ll hit the strip clubs or Morongo! HAHA
Good Luck on your driving test!
Your brother, friend, band member, and lifetime accountability partner,
David Kwon
