Wilshire Youth Group. Six long years of going to church every Sunday, Friday Night bible studies, countless church retreats and Flood LA retreats, all the previous Senior Banquets, and special events to the beach and ice skating and rollerblading. This was the place where I grew up, made life-lasting friends, hung out with the people I cared about, and worshiped freely. Wilshire had all sorts of ups and downs: departure and arrival of Pastor Jo, Brandon, Daniel, and now Julie, teachers coming and going, friends being separated by the big argument about Pastor Kwak. We had our high, happy moments and our low, sad moments but it all came down to this. It’s finished and done and over with. Just like that. No more setting up or playing the guitar and singing or coming early or bible study. Just. Like. That. It all happened too quickly. Youth Group. I am very pleased and honored to have been your praise leader. At times, I know that I’ve been lazy and wasn’t the best leader there could be, but nonetheless, I hope that I have succeeded in some areas. I love watching the kids grow in their faith although at times, I struggled with growing and preventing myself from going down. I love you all. I’ll visit very often. Wilshire Youth Group.
